House of Bols

The House of Bols is the oldest distillery in the world, open since 1575 in Amsterdam. Lucas Bols, its founder, led the reins of the company for almost a century, leading it to become a world-famous brand, varying and extending production to various types of spirits, including more than 30 types of genever, the distillate from which gin is made.

A visit to the House of Bols is a spectacular experience during which you can discover flavours, scents, images and sounds related to the liqueurs produced.

In the Taste Room you can taste 38 different liqueurs, while in the Delft Blue Room you will become familiar with the world of cocktails. The tour ends in the Mirror Bar, where bartenders will prepare your favourite cocktail before your eyes.

The House of Bols won the Dutch Design Award, proving that history and tradition can go hand in hand with innovation and contemporary design.

Tickets for the House of Bols

The advice to fully enjoy the experience in the world of the House of Bols is to combine entry to the distillery with participation in a bartending academy or genever tasting event.

Guides in various languages are available. Specific private events, such as cocktail parties and theme parties, are then organised for groups of 6 to 120 participants.

The cocktail offered at the end of the tour is included in the ticket price, while subsequent drinks are payable as an extra.

Opening hours

The House of Bols is open daily from 1 p.m. to 6.30 p.m., on Fridays until 8 p.m., unless other events are scheduled. The minimum age to enter is 18.
