AMAZE Amsterdam is a unique audiovisual experience. Located on the north-western outskirts of Amsterdam, in an industrial district that offers little in the way of tourism, it is a labyrinth that stretches across 7 separate zones within an old warehouse, covering an area of 3000 square metres. It is difficult to explain what AMAZE Amsterdam is if you don’t try it: it is a journey from head to heart, stimulating all the senses and – according to the official claim – leading you to a deeper level of consciousness by celebrating life.
AMAZE is one of Amsterdam’s most innovative attractions. It is the perfect destination for a day out with family or friends, and a great alternative for having fun and doing something if it rains. Once inside, you will discover that everything revolves around the most important person in your life: yourself. You will find yourself inside a maze of sorts, completely surrounded by lights and sounds, and during the 7 levels that the whole experience consists of, you will be able to interact with the installations, and even record what you are experiencing, so that you can share your memories with your friends and family even when you return home.
What can you expect from AMAZE Amsterdam? Suffice it to say that it is located in the building where the city’s first illegal raves were organised years and years ago, so imagine yourself inside a place full of colours, sounds, lights and music, which with the help of state-of-the-art audiovisual technology will allow you to experience intense and interactive, but also relaxing moments. You will find lasers, lights, sounds, art and animation waiting for you, with two different sound intensity modes.
Inside the AMAZE Amsterdam you enter staggered: there are 10 entrances per hour, and each entrance is accessible for 6 people. Therefore, you will always have enough space available for you and your friends.
You can access AMAZE Amsterdam and its beautiful performances by purchasing a ticket at the ticket counters or online. We strongly recommend that you do this online before your departure to avoid wasting time once you are there.
AMAZE Amsterdam is closed on Tuesdays. On the other days of the week it is open with the following opening hours:
It is very easy to get to AMAZE Amsterdam by metro: the street where it is located, Elementenstraat, is very close to the Isolatorweg stop of metro lines 50 and 51, of which it serves as the terminus. Once you get off, simply walk along Generatorstraat and turn right into Elementenstraat. The walking distance should not exceed 5 minutes.
If you are in the vicinity of the Central Station it may be quicker to take a train to Amsterdam Sloterdijk, and from there continue by metro to Isolatorweg.
It is also possible to get there by car, and it is also quite easy to park, as being located in an industrial area, parking spaces are free. The distance to the city centre is just over 10 minutes.
AMAZE Amsterdam is a museum located at Elementenstraat 25, a stone's throw from the Isolatorweg terminus of the orange and green metro lines 50 and 51, northwest of the city centre.
City Card allow you to save on public transport and / or on the entrances to the main tourist attractions.
