The Ziggo Dome is an indoor arena for concerts and sporting events with a capacity of 17,000 seats located on the southern outskirts of Amsterdam. Opened in 2012, it is named after the Dutch television broadcaster Ziggo.
In 2008, plans began for a new facility that would host the biggest concerts in the city, with the best possible acoustics. Since its opening four years later, the Ziggo Dome has been the leading concert venue in Amsterdam and the whole of the Netherlands. Numerous local and international artists of various musical genres have played here, including Pearl Jam, Madonna, Lady Gaga, Muse, Iron Maiden, U2, Sting and Eros Ramazzotti.

Certain rules of behaviour apply inside the venue, here are the most important ones.
No smoking: Smoking is not permitted inside the building except in the designated areas. Do not think about circumventing the ban; the security staff monitor it very carefully. A first violation of the smoking ban only results in a warning, but from the second onwards you run the risk of being expelled from the Ziggo Dome.
Camera: it is not always possible to take a camera with you. It is better to go in with a compact camera and leave the SLR at home for reasons of convenience and to minimise the risk of theft or damage, but it depends on the individual performers whether or not they allow the audience to take photos during a concert.
Food – No food is allowed inside the building.
Safety deposit boxes and cloakroom– Safety deposit boxes measuring 50×23.5×25.5 cm are available on the ground floor for a fee, while the cloakroom is free of charge.
